    Khun Buoy

    Bouy's family live on Koh Kood, and they have been on the island for generations. Bouy's brother Po is the latest in a long line of fishermen, and shares a close relationship with the sea. His father, Sak, has years of experience fishing the local waters, and together they help support a happy and close family.  Bouy's ingrained love of the ocean translates into his work as a water sports instructor on at Soneva Kiri., where he works along side two more of his bothers, Tor, in the power house, and Tan, a Boat Captain.

    Khun Momo

    Momo's story has been one of true self discovery, originally from north Thailand he moved to Bangkok when he was eighteen and was overwhelmed by the indulgent nature of the city. A chance meeting with a monk at Ampawan temple made him think about his choices, and helped him turn his life around. Later he discovered the Soneva Kiri resort, and the principle of SLOW LIFE was like a revelation. His long held dream to learn about the stars was realized when Dr Parag visited, and taught him the secrets of the night sky. Momo now shares his passion and knowledge with the guests, and often can be seen practising the meditation techniques he learnt at Ampawan.

    When Sonu and Eva stopped at a roadside cafe to ask for directions fifteen years ago, they stumbled across someone they instantly knew was special. Khun Benz's charisma and cooking made a lasting impressed them so much they made her a permanent part of the Soneva community. Benz worked on Soneva Fushi for 10 years, before returning to Thailand and opening her restaurant within the Soneva Kiri resort.  Her amazing food and wonderful company make for an unforgettable experience.

    Khun Benz's restaurant offers a chance for guests to enjoy traditional Thai food and hospitality in an authentic local setting. Before it was converted to the restaurant, the building was home to some of its hosts. Pom lived in the house with his brother while they both worked at the Kiri resort, now Pom is a steward in the restaurant, and his brother Taro works in the power house.

  • Khun Noek

    Khun Noek

    Khun Noek collects all the organic ingredients from the local area and resort garden, and then uses them to prepare herbal infusions and smoothies. Fresh herbs are also used to make compresses and organic treatments for the spa. The healing properties of herbal treatments have been well known for millennia, and the continuation of this practice is found throughout all of Thailand.
