Everyone has now headed back from the summer holidays and cities are getting packed again. The tranquillity of empty neighborhoods is over and streets are now crowded. Our Ocean follows the same trend. When jumping in the water in search for Manta Rays, we often get overwhelmed by the amount of fish surrounding us.
Fusiliers are very common throughout the year but during the South Western Monsoon they are just everywhere. Funnily enough they are very well behaved and they mostly move in a neatly distributed school. The density of this fish often makes you feel like you are trying to cross a busy american highway on the 4th of July. Luckily for any snorkellers, they are always willing to give way. If you are freediving you often find yourself surrounded by them and may wish to become part of their group.
