In 2005, he was the Chef at the Fitz Roy restaurant in Val-Thorens before training with Thierry Marx at Cordeillans-Bages, before going on to manage Les Jardins du Mont-Blanc in 2006. In 2009 he was crowned the rising star of the Rhône-Alpes region with a Gault & Millau score of 16/20 and a Marianne for Gastronomy, as well as a host of up-and-coming awards.

In 2010, Yoann Conte took over Marc Veyrat’s establishment at Veyrier-du-Lac. One year later, in March 2011, he received his first Michelin star, and his second in 2013. The Bord du Lac d’Annecy joined Relais & Châteaux in 2014, becoming the first 5-star establishment in Annecy.
